Katie Miller, DVM
Dr. Miller is originally from Michigan but has lived in Charlotte since 1999.
She received her B.S. Degree with High Honors in Anthropology-Zoology and
Biology in 1994 from the University of Michigan-AnnArbor. She graduated with
Honors from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998.
Prior to veterinary school, she completed a fellowship at the National Zoo in
Washington, D.C. While in veterinary school, she was a member of the Phi Zeta
Veterinary Society and worked on several genetic research projects.
After veterinary school, she completed a small animal medicine and surgery
internship at Almeda East Veterinary Hospital in Denver Colorado. This is
where the "Emergency Vets" show on Animal Planet is filmed. After her
internship, she moved to Charlotte and has worked at various animal hospitals
including Carolina Veterinary Specialists. Dr. Miller is married and has a dog
named Artie Miller and two cats named Poppy and Newt. In her off time, she
enjoys traveling, hiking, running and biking.
